3 Methods To Enter The Golden Gates of IIT

The 3 methods are following which consists of some more parts -

1. Preparation- It is further divided in 4 parts.

a) TM

b) Regularity

c) Focus

d) Practice

2. Guidance- It is divided in two parts.

a) Faculty

b) Seniors

3. Toughness- It is also divided in two parts.

a) Mental

b) Physical

IITJEE, considered the toughest undergraduate level entrance exam needs some special and planned preparation. As the competition is getting tougher exponentially every year, the amount and quality of preparation also needs to be in check.

Now I will elaborate the above mention methods.

1. Preparation - It is the first and foremost key to the gate which lets you into the most prestigious institutes of India for B-tech.

4 ways of preparation-

1. TM - It stands for time management. It's a very personal phenomenon and depends on individual.

You need not to have a time table in which you decide on what hours you read what. Instead of making it like 4pm-6pm - physics, 6pm-8pm- Chemistry, make it look like 4pm-6pm study then break for 10 minutes and then study.

Give breaks after 1 hour as it is refreshing for the mind. Plus you can use this break in interesting works like spending these 10 minutes with your family or doing meditation or listening to music or even cleaning your study table or your room etc. This break will do wonders if you are studying away from your home. You can use this time to talk to your parents also which will provide you a sense of relief and you can concentrate better than even before.

24 hours in a day are sufficient enough if we use them efficiently. The time we waste in useless thoughts is the time we can transfer in remembrance of chemistry's reactions or math's formulae or physic's definitions.

2. Regularity - You should follow your classes, tests and most important your time table at regular basis. You should not loosen up in your regularity as it cause you inconsistency and you will forget what you had been taught or what you had learned.

3. Focus- It is often advised not to meet your relatives, don't attend any parties, don't meet friends and all that stuff. These advices are given just because your focus on the preparation must not disintegrate at any cost. It will affect the 2nd factor regularity and you are at a loss.

But let me give you an advice so that you can attend some functions, relatives, friends and yet not lose your focus at all.

Make a diary and write your goal on it with all the related and relevant information and inspiration such as pasting the pictures of your idols in that dairy.

And make sure that you read that diary at the beginning of your each day. This will sure help immensely in setting your focus.

4. Practice- As the JEE syllabus is heading more and more towards the CBSE syllabus every year, practice now counts more than anything like talent, cleverness or intelligence.

Now the second method-

2. Guidance- As Anatole france said- Education is one tenth encouragement. Talent can't often gets to it's destination due to lack of guidance. A counselor is a must in your preparation for the Einstein needed examination. And a coaching institute often works as a counselor. For this purpose you should select your coaching institute with the following things in your mind-

a) The management staff of the institute.

b) The experience of faculty.

c) The success rate of the coaching i.e. how many students are selected out of total students.

d) Always talk to the previous students of the coaching institute you are planning to join.

And after selecting a particular coaching institute you should select a teacher you can share anything with him/her.

A teacher can be chosen on the following accounts-

1. The teacher must be experienced.

2. He/she must be interactive or frank.

3. Must inspire you to study in b/w class.

4. And make him/her self available whenever you need him/her.

5. He should make you think.

Remember- "A teacher is the one who ends his needs progressively."

Now the third and last method.

3. Toughness- When you are all set for the high time where all your hard work is going to pay off, more often than not students find themselves in a big mess.

They suffer from depression and that leads to physical disease too.

You should have two kinds of toughness in yourself before going into the mouth of a lion.

1. Mental- For mental toughness you can do yoga and meditation. Try to be as calm as possible. Be indifferent to situations. Just analyze them.

Suppose you score less in a test, then analyze the situation, don't get demoralized and find your mistakes and make sure you don't commit them again. Ask for the guidance of the selected teacher.

Conduct test for yourself at home with proper time limits. Be tough mentally to get the best possible results of your efforts.

2. Physical- "health is wealth" Without being fit physically you can't be fit mentally also.

A proper half an hour exercise must be included in your time table if you want no gaps in your studies due to some stupid fever or other small diseases.

Love Is Not Blind

"People say Love is blind because they do not know what love is, I say unto you, only love has eyes; other than love everything is blind" says Osho ( one of the greatest mystics ever happened on earth). I completely agree with him. Love is often said to be blind as people who are in love never worries about the reaction of societies, rather they go on doing the things which they want to do.

But before declaring Love as blind one must know what the word blind in this case means? When you say love is blind indirectly you want to say that lovers are blind and love is the very source of their blindness. We think that love destroys the rational thinking of lovers and make them unable to see the outcome of their actions. And hence we declare that Love is blind.

The Reasons Why we say love is blind?

1. Because humans have a great amount of ego and they consider themselves as the greatest species so they are unable to accept their weaknesses. Instead they go on condemning the thing by which they can be proved small. The fact is that ordinary human beings do not have the conscience by which they can watch love just like they do not have the conscience to admit God.

Love is not something you can imagine through your rational mind, it is something thoroughly from the heart and that's what creates difficulties.

2. The other view can be that the saying is absolutely correct but the word love here is not meant to be the truest form of love. To make this saying correct Love must represents possession, lust, passion, sex not the true love which means total freedom and which can't be blind. This love has a completely different meaning and more than love, emotions such as possessiveness and passion has out shadowed the pure love which is freedom, sacrifice, unconsciousness. And to say that this love is blind is absolutely correct.

IS Love really blind?

No the fact is that what can not be seen by ordinary people only lovers can see. There is no need to worry about the society as they do not know that once you are in the ocean of love then you are on the top of the world where it does not matter what is the outcome? Because when you got love there is nothing you fear whatsoever may come. And the feeling of true love is so much satisfying that you do not want anything else then. That's why Love is not blind and can never be.

Why Do We Face Difficulties?

Someone has rightly said that "An optimistic is a one who sees infinite opportunities in every difficulty."

But seldom do we think like that, rather we go on cursing our own or the best discovery of man's guilty conscience 'GOD'. It is often said that gold has to pass through fire to achieve purity. But in case of humans, I do not believe that we have to achieve something, because there is nothing that we have to achieve. Everything is achieved already when we get the human form to live because only in the form of a human we can merge with the universe and become one with god. Then why is it that we have to face difficulties? Is it purely coincident that we have to face difficulties? Or they are the result of our own karma? Or why is that we can not extract out the reason, why we are facing the problem?

The Answer-

According to me there are two kinds of experiences in this world. One is physical and the other one is metaphysical. Physical is only related to our body where we can sense things through our body senses or organs. But the metaphysical one deals with what is beyond the body. The physical experiences are easy to experience and there is no need of any special thing for them. But to experience the metaphysical, you have to have something special which takes you beyond the body, like a clean conscience. So to have that something special in you, what needs to be done? The answer is you have to face difficulties because everyone has a set of values which he follows. And not many values remain in you when you are in a big trouble.

Difficulties provide you a better understanding of useful values and useless values (only to be experienced once). There is a simple formula- The values which remain with you throughout the difficult situation and even after the problem ends, then it is a true value which you really care about and it will be useful for you in terms of metaphysical experiences. And remember that as everyone has different kinds of values, we have to face different kinds of problems. The problems are just for the development of our consciousness and hence we must face the difficulties and try to solve it. That is we should see the infinite opportunities hidden in every problem that we have to encounter. And help our consciousness to evolve.

True Meaning Of Education

I want to share the true meaning of education according to me this time. In my view education is not the syllabus that we are being taught. It is neither the formulas nor the practical. Rather education is a way to go ahead and achieve yourself. Remember I am not saying to achieve success but to achieve yourself, means the true meaning of your being, the whole purpose of your life. Education is a way that makes our life simple and better for you. It makes you free unburdened as it gives the power of self decision to you.

As someone said, "Education is what remains when you forget everything you have learnt." You can argue that nothing remains when we forget everything. But it is not so. You can forget what is in your mind but not what is in your being. I mean that some things are inhabited in us and goes beyond the limitations of our mind. The example is in the movie "Ghajini". In the movie, although Aamir khan forgets everything in 15 minutes yet he didn't forget how to eat, drink, and all the elementary things.

Hence the writer of the quote said, "Education is what remains when you forget everything". Like you can never forget what is good and what is bad even if you lose your memory. Our whole being is so much conditioned from the beginning of our lives that we are not able to recognize some things that are beyond our mind. Just like that education never leaves you and make you realize your true being.

A New Approach To Education

Once someone said "Education is what remains when you forget everything you have learnt." Well, does the use of someone instead of giving the name of the person who quote this made any difference to the theme or the message of my article? To be honest I actually don't even remember the name, I only remember what he said or more importantly the message of his thought. And I personally doubt that remembering or just cramming things do help at all. As Shakespeare said "What's in the name?"

The same is the state of system of our education that enforces us to remember the language of books and also use it in the exams otherwise your marks have to suffer. And this so called examination system is also a useless thing as it ends up only where students used to study only the syllabus which is necessary for the exams quantizing the interests of the students. One has to unnecessarily learn the same quota of syllabus over and over again for the sake of examination. The examination process is like vomiting first you have to put everything in mind and then vomit it in the exams. Once Einstein said "Why should I learn those things that I can find in books whenever necessary."

They have to understand that Newton studied gravitation only when his university was closed and Einstein had to run away from his school to study only what he liked. The system of education also doesn't have any place for the extracurricular activities but often boast of full personality development of children. The pressure of passing the exams has changed the mindset of the students so dramatically that they accept themselves as failure if can't pass the exams and hence decide to do suicide as a result of lost confidence.

I being the student of science stream can say that the practical approach towards subject like physics has died almost. The current approach really can't amaze the students in the wonder what science beholds. The Students really have to turn away the nerves of their mind in order to learn something but it hasn't been so. Students don't even stop to spend their priceless time on thinking what they are learning, does it help them to learn something new or in making them a better person. They just begin the rat race as soon as the problem occurs. And this has also been showcased in the movie '3 IDIOTS' with a fine example as the principal is also shown not to take care what he was going to found.

The situation is really very fearsome. When every breath of your life, each second of your existence is an exam conducted by nature the education system has its own catastrophe. The system doesn't give enough freedom of thinking for the students and some of the teachers also cut down the freedom to speak what you feel. A very good example of the non-beneficial system is unnecessary wastage of electricity and water done by so called literate people. It is in the syllabus that they are limited sources we have to preserve them for survival of human on the earth but still there is no effect. Why? Didn't they read it? No it's because by the mere reading of a topic in the books doesn't create enough of alarming in the mind of student that he could take care of it.

So the question arises, what needs to be done then in order to increase the standards of education? The answer is we have to change the system revolutionary. The teachers need to be trained so that they can make a student think practically rather than ratification like a parrot to pass the exams. More experimental teaching needs to be done. And to create a certain impact about social or economical issues on a student's mind, educational tours can be scheduled where the consequences of such issues can be visualized.

But as someone said "To change something you have to be the change yourself." So the students rather than depending and expecting something from the government or teachers can change their approach and invent A New Approach To Education. Instead of having a materialistic view in life they can change their thinking style. Students can voluntarily form groups and go for the education tour. They can collect funds and conduct experiments themselves. They can use the internet specifically and revolutionize the way of thinking by developing communities and fan clubs of innovative students, their selection criteria based on a new idea or innovation to promote new ways of thinking. Also they can conduct quizzes among groups which will result in the better understanding of the subject/topic.

Students just have to remember "No effort will go in vain no matter how small it is." Remember the present approach is killing the Newtons and Einsteins who have helped us to improvise our lifestyles. Some steps should be taken as soon as possible.
